Building talent

To the CLT, ‘Building Talent’ is ensuring that the strengths of our workforce are recognised and put to good use so that our children receive the benefit.  We aim to facilitate a shared dialogue that is receptive to new ideas, agile enough to move quickly to make change and enable our staff to flourish in the right environment.

Testimonial.
After completing a teaching placement within the CLT during my PGCE, I was delighted to be offered my first teaching post within the academy. The CLT place a great emphasis in investing in their staff to best benefit the young people of Stoke-on-Trent.

Testimonial.
I joined City Learning Trust in September 2019 as a student teacher and throughout that year I worked across both of the primary academies within the trust. All members of the Trust were highly supportive, caring and invested in my development and help and advice was everywhere I looked and not just from my teacher mentors.

"It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to the City Learning Trust. Since 2017, we have worked together as a partnership of academies, proud to serve our children and young people across the city of Stoke-on-Trent.

Nelson Mandela once commented that, ‘there can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children’.

We hold to this statement with every decision that we make across the City Learning Trust. We are committed to giving everything, everyday so that our children can be the best that they can be."
